Experience also includes design of structures for refineries and thermal power plants, fertilizer plants, other Industrial plants and office Buildings, etc. Smarajit’s area of expertise on onshore industrial facilities cover steel and concrete structures associated with petrochemical, power generation and fertilizer industries. Smarajit has vast experience and knowledge on planning and design of marine jetties for crude tankers, from 6000 DWT to 320,000 DWT, along with the shore facilities. He also has designed structural facilities for GBS (Gravity Based concrete Structures) supported LNG terminal. Smarajit also has long experience in working on offshore structural facilities designing, and constructing offshore platforms including the subsea structure (Jacket) and piles, deck, Helideck, flare tower and all other associated structures needed for operation, fabrication, transportation and installation of the facilities in offshore USA and abroad. During most of the time of his long carrier, Smarajit has worked with and managed large working teams, where he has supervised, guided and conducted work with multi-discipline engineering teams, planners, Quality Assurance personnel, project/cost control personnel etc. as well as coordinated with Client teams, construction team members, Contractors /subcontractors and vendors. Smarajit received “Bachelor of Civil Engineering” from Bengal Engineering College Sibpur, then, under University of Calcutta. He got his Master degree (M. Tech) in “Structures” from Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur.
